Senator of Sanity

Senator Scott Brown won a decisive election in Massachusetts in January becoming the first Republican to win there since the ‘70s. He won by standing against this dangerous government attempt to take over 1/6 of the entire American economy. He has not been in DC long enough to be corrupted by the toilet bowl back room deal making that has characterized federal politics – especially the health care legislation.

Few have seen this clip which was the Republican response to the President’s message last Saturday. Please invest 5 minutes of your time for a fresh and compelling outlook on the present situation.

Nancy Pelosi is worried she may not have the votes in the house and is even now making plans to use legislative slight-of-hand. She will apply a “rule change” to “deem the bill” passed WITHOUT ANY HOUSE VOTE AT ALL.

Please contact your Congressman. It is time to pile on with everything we can muster. Below is an example of a FAX I sent to my representative. Please take the time to do the same:

Dear Congressman Inslee:

I wish to register my strong opposition to this health care bill and the way the speaker is attempting to get it passed. 2700+/- pages of legislation written by politicians, lawyers, and special interests behind closed doors is WRONG!

I agree with you completely that our health care system requires Congressional attention to solve some of our present problems. However this is not the way to do it. Please start over and address the issues one at a time in easily negotiated and understandable segments.

If this bill passes against the will of the majority of the American people there will be a sea change in Congress this November. If you voted for it, I shall dedicate every hour and spare penny I have to help you find yourself looking for new employment.

  1. I changed “Inslee” to “Wu” and sent your comments off to my congressman, as you stated it perfectly. Further, I used the same language and sent it to my compatriots here to do the same.

Well done, Jeff…I just hope it’s enough.
